System Requirements

Windows XP, Vista, 7

  1. •A Pentium 4 processor, or better.

  2. •1 GB RAM.

  3. •A CD-ROM or DVD drive.

  4. •A hard disk drive with at least 1 GB of free space.

  5. •Windows XP Professional, Home Edition Service Pack 3*.

  6. •Windows Vista Ultimate, Business, Home Service Pack 1*.

  7. •Windows 7 DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.

MOBY POS All Systems

  1. •Networking: Support for statically addressed TCP/IP over a 100-BaseT switched network (MOBY POS Pro only).

  2. •Backup: MOBY POS support has a firm "zero-crash tolerance" policy. If your system crashes while MOBY POS is open, MOBY POS support requires you to revert to a previous, known good backup. Virtually all backup software and media are supported.

  3. •Power protection and battery backup: All computer systems running mission-critical applications should be protected by a good quality and properly installed Uninterruptible Power Supply (aka UPS) with an automated shutdown cable and software as well as basic surge protection capabilities.

MOBY POS Basic for Macintosh

  1. •An Apple G5 or Intel-based Mac (Mac Mini is not supported for MOBY POS Basic environments).

  2. •1 GB RAM.

  3. •A CD-ROM or DVD drive.

  4. •A hard disk drive with at least 1 GB of free space.

  5. •Mac OS X 10.4.9 or higher (Intel).

  6. •Mac OS X 10.4.8 or higher (PowerPC).

  5. •Hardware RAID recommended, Software RAID acceptable.

  6. •Please note - we recommend 4 drives in dual RAID configurations for storage, speed and redundancy.
